Time to pick the tree. The family tradition of driving out to the Peppermint Lane Tree Farm with Lyssa and Bryan to cut our own has been replaced by a quick trip to the corner lot. Can you believe we actually live in the Evergreen State? One day we'll take the saw to the forest, but we'll need to wait until Dan finishes with school. Without his guidance, I'm sure I would get lost.

I soooo miss our traditional outing to chop down the perfect Christmas tree. We ended up at the corner lot this year too... doesn't hold quite the same fun and excitement value as a day trip to the tree farm and dinner - I wonder why?
